Marit Mertz serves as Committee Membership Chair for the Saint Charles County Ambassadors. She recently retired after 13 years as chief operating officer of a multi-store auto repair business, which her family sold through an acquisition. Prior to joining the family business, Marit earned a master’s degree in school administration from Lindenwood University and spent 10 years as a middle school teacher.

Marit is passionate about leading in the community through service and collaboration. She finds gratitude in helping others and embraces new opportunities to make a meaningful impact.

Marit and her husband, Greg, moved to Defiance in December 2023. They have three amazing children.

In her spare time, Marit enjoys golfing and reading, and she has recently taken up guitar lessons.
